(iTechWire.Org) – Known by its model number as the Samsung B5310 and marketed as the Samsung Genio Pro (as well as Genio Slide and Corby Pro) this new addition to the range joins the existing Samsung Genio Touch (S3650) and Genio Qwerty (B3210).

The Samsung Genio Pro offers more in terms of features over the first two models incorporating a slide out Qwerty keyboard, however the overall size and design of this new Samsung phone looks very similar to that of the previous Touch and Qwerty editions.

The Samsung B5310 Genio Pro is due for a SIM free release on the 29th January with a launch price of £189.99, this latest Genio phone has also been given a release date as a Pay As You Go phone on Vodafone of January 31st with a retail price of only £129.99.

The new Samsung B5310 Genio Pro is a new high end phone coming out from the Corby series of the company. This apparently looks like an original Corby with a QWERTY keypad attached to it. The Samsung Genio Pro’s touch sensitive TFT screen is of 2.8 inches and renders 16 million colors at 240 x 320 pixels resolution. The phone has got physical dimensions of 1.57cm in depth, 5.68cm in width & 10.5cm and it weighs 135 grams.

The phone is loaded with a 3.1 mega pixel camera along with Auto Focus, Zoom, Photo Editor, Video Editor etc. functionalities and it can click images at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. MP3, AAC & WMA music files and DivX, MP3, AAC and WMA video files are acceptable on the music player and video player of the phone. Stereo FM radio with RDS facility will let you enjoy music on a different level.

3G HSDPA, WLAN Wi-Fi, HSCSD, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, USB, GPRS and EDGE technologies make the Samsung B5310 Corby Pro a highly compatible gadget. For sending messages the gadget supports SMS, MMS and several IM services. WAP 2.0, X-HTML and HTML are the web browsing technologies given on it.

There is an standard Li-Ion 960 mAh battery fitted with the phone but its backup details are still not posted. Along with 100MB of internal memory there is a MicroSD card slot as well and that will allow you to use up to 16GB memory cards.
