(iTechWire.Org) – Soundbooth Plus is an innovative new solution for schools and colleges looking to develop their existing ICT resources for the teaching of languages.

Focussing on the core language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, Soundbooth Plus helps language teachers to deliver lessons and exam material in a format that students will find both familiar and easy to interact with.

For the teacher:

In addition to monitoring individuals and their progress through language lessons the teacher can easily group students together to promote conversation and interaction. Group discussions can be recorded and played back by students via their console.

Teachers can track their student’s progress through lessons and leave notes to help them improve understanding. We feel that these features offer a level of guidance not previously available in traditional language lab solutions.

Lessons can contain digitised audio in Mp3 format, pictures and interactive content as required. In addition to allowing access to our existing 100GB of lessons and exam material we can also work with language teachers to create custom lessons regardless of the languages taught.

Soundbooth Plus also includes a Virtual Keyboard that interacts with a standard PC keyboard to help the student to type and provide answers in the target language. Currently we can offer this feature in French, Spanish, German, Cymraeg and Pinyin and are able to easily create custom Virtual Keyboards specifically for your language needs.

For the School:

Soundbooth Plus also offers real flexibility - it can be easily installed and used across the network, regardless of where the teachers and students are. In standalone mode can also be used by students at home (via removable media such as CD and USB storage devices) and in conjunction with any existing Virtual Learning Enviroments. In addition to this the Soundbooth Plus student console can be "re-skinned" to display your organisations logo and custom colours.
